Todd and I are pleased to announce Nichol MacDonald recently joined our firm. Nichol is running our North Carolina location, taking over aspects of portfolio management, and adding to the quality of our client interactions. We’re quite pleased to have successfully recruited Nichol. She has a very impressive background and frankly we’re fortunate to have sold her on the vision of our small firm. Nichol and I first met in the late 90’s when we were colleagues at International Network Services (INS) in Silicon Valley where we both worked in Corporate Finance. After INS was acquired by Lucent, Nichol continued her Silicon Valley career spending over eleven years in a variety of business and finance leadership roles with Symantec before relocating with her family to the Raleigh – Durham area.
Nichol’s original involvement with Blackwell Boyd was through the eyes of a client. We managed accounts for her and her husband (David Corsano of Cisco) before beginning our recruitment of her approximately a year later. Asked for her thoughts on joining Blackwell Boyd, Nichol said, “Building first on the understanding of what’s most important to clients creates unrivaled commitment to delivering success. In addition to our pleasure of announcing Nichol joining our firm, we’re pleased with the related geographic expansion in the Carolinas. Blackwell Boyd serves clients residing in more than fifteen U.S. states and several foreign countries. As we grow, we expect to add additional offices. We are optimistic that we will announce a New York City location later this year, and a San Francisco Bay Area location in 2015.
